Rongring Noang Ten

RONGRING NAONG TEN was the name given to the project and the meaning is “Propagate the Lepcha Language”. The objective of this program was to provide a short duration Physical Rongring course to the communities and under privileged children of the surrounding rural areas of Kalimpong. The pilot program was implemented in the outskirts of the Kalimpong in a place called Bong busty from June of 2022 till August 2022. 

The participant of the program was 12 students of class 8 – 12 and a retired govt official. The program was implemented once in every weekend for 2 -3 hours were the teacher would have an interactive class with the participants. The program ran successfully for two months and was ended with a short program organized by the Society and all the children participated in the program. All were provided a certificate for their completion of the course.
